The art of encaustic painting is experiencing an exciting revival as contemporary artists rediscover the possibilities inherent in wax painting with modern tools. We will explore brushing, layer fusing, scraping, layering, pouring, collage/assemblage, encaustic monotype painting on paper, and the use of a variety of surfaces.
